Gavin Update

Gavin had his six month visit today at the pediatrician .... Here are his latest stats:

Gavin weighed in at: 21 pounds 4 ounces
Gavin measured: 28 inches long!
He is in the 95th percentile for both height and weight ... so the doctor says that he is well proportioned. She also said that he is stronger than the average six month old, and that he has a great temperament. Gavin had FOUR shots this time around ... again, but he did quite well. He cried for a little bit, but by the time I got him back to day care, he was giggly.

Comparing him to Grant at this age ... Grant was 20 lbs 11 oz and was 28 1/2 inches long.

I think that Gavin might end up being bigger that Grant when they get older.

We leave on Thursday for our trip to Atlanta. We are really looking forward to going to see the newest member of Jon and Maxine's family - Abbie, and we hope that Grant and Gavin travel well. We'll update you with any new photos that we take and update you on how the boys did on the trip down and back!

I don't know why I find it so hard to get on here at night and update with even the smallest post. I have no pictures ... no new ones, that is. But, we do have some updates!

Gavin is SIX MONTHS old! I find that so unbelievable! I cannot believe that our little man is already half way through his first year of life! We take him for his six month pediatrician visit next week ... Looking forward to finding out how much he has grown!

Gavin has also gotten his first two teeth! Yes, TWO! Grant didn't get his until he was almost eight months old, so being six months old and having two teeth pop seems a tad early to me. But, I guess that just really proves how every baby is different! I have tried to get some pictures of his teeth, but haven't been able to get one just yet.

Grant has been doing great with the potty training. He is still having issues with the #2, but he's going #1 all on his own. He'll just walk right into the bathroom and go! I have been amazed! I just wish there was a way to get him to realize that #2 IS meant for the potty and not his pants! That would be the best!

Grant has been doing better in school this week behavior wise. He has been on green all week, and hasn't had any accidents! I have been so proud! It's much better that his "choking kids with a jump rope days"! I sure hope that this continues. I really hate getting upset with him for being a three year old!

We are traveling to Atlanta next week as a family. We are looking forward to it! It will be our first road trip together .. EVER! Todd and I haven't even been on a road trip together (well, not counting places like Traverse City.)! We hope that the boys are really good for us! I would hate to have Gavin crying the entire way there and back! Hopefully I'll have some great photos to add to the post next time!
