The Big Tub ...

So ... tonight was the first time that Grant and Gavin had a bath together at home. They had a blast! Grant wasn't too keen on the idea initially. I don't think he thought he would be able to have fun in the tub with his little brother in there. But, once they got in and Gavin start splashing around, Grant decided that it probably wouldn't be that bad. It looks to me like they were enjoying themselves, don't you think?

As you can see, though, Gavin didn't really want to do too much of the sitting thing. He didn't want to sit still long enough to get washed, he just wanted to stand up and LAUGH!

Gavin sure enjoyed taking a bath in the BIG TUB!

Gavin's Last Bath in the "Baby" Tub

So, Gavin has had his last bath in the little tub ... He has sort of out grown it. He has always been a little "large" for the tub, but he would sit there and let you wash him. Now .... Gavin likes to take control of his bathing experience! He likes to sit up in the tub and take control! But, the whole tub tilts forward!

He would much rather splash around and have a good time! He doesn't like to just lay there and let you wash him any longer! It's time to move onto the big tub!

Grant and Gavin have taken a bath together before. We were in Atlanta and really didn't have any other option to bathe Gavin, so they took one together. It went surprisingly well, so I'm sure that taking one in their own tub won't be bad! Gavin sure looks like he likes the idea of retiring the baby tub, doesn't he?

Our Boys ...

I sure hope that these two love to be close to one another when they get older too! This started out with Daddy bouncing Gavin on his knee. Grant, of course, can't let anyone get more attention than him .... so he climbed up on Daddy's other knee. Gavin thought it was the coolest thing to have his big brother next to him! And, Grant ... I know that he loves being by his brother as well!

Atlanta Georgia ... Here We Come!

Well, we made it all in one piece and with most of our sanity to and from Atlanta. This trip was much nicer than our last trip, and was really quite nice. The boys traveled better than expected, and they had a great time. Grant had his DVD player, and Gavin had Grant. We did stop a lot on the way down to get the boys out of the car and let them run around, but even when we got to the hotel, Gavin was just excited to be able to move around!

Grant though, just had fun meeting his new cousins. He has met them before, but he was only a little older than Gavin the last time we were there. This time, though, Grant found a new friend in Sammy Jo. I think Todd and I figured that they are something like fourth cousins ... but Grant didn't care. He still says, "I love her". He doesn't quite realize that they are related! Sammy Jo kept Grant busy, and made sure that he enjoyed his vacation! It was so great!

We had a great time visiting and we look forward to being able to get there again sometime soon! Although, we have been there twice and they haven't been here yet .... Hmmm....perhaps they should come up and see us!
