On Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 10:11 a.m. we welcomed our newest little man! His name is Garrett Karol Male. He weighed in at 9 lbs. 9 oz. and was 20 1/4 inches long! It was quite an exciting day! We arrived at the hospital at 8:00 a.m. and they started prepping me for the surgery. Our parents and my brother, Danny, arrived around 9:00. My c-section was supposed to start at 10:00, but since there weren't any others scheduled, and nothing that would prevent us from starting on time, they took us in early! Everything went very well! The boys are loving having a new little brother! I was a little nervous, but they are really doing great with this! Grant and Gavin came up to see me every day that I was in the hospital and they have just been so excited to see Garrett. The first thing Grant did was take his coat off, wash his hands, and say "where's the baby?"... "Can I hold the baby?". It was really sweet. Gavin has even gotten into holding him and wanting to hug and kiss him! It's been a nice surprise!
