We have had a wonderful holiday season! Since my last post, we have celebrated Thanksgiving and have almost finished up our Christmas celebrations! We have one more party to attend this coming weekend with my mom's side of the family, and the boys are so excited about it! They cannot believe how LONG Christmas is!
We have enjoyed spending time with our families and getting to celebrate! We have all had the best Christmas we can remember in quite a long time! It was just so much fun! The boys were so excited about Santa's arrival ... they were so much fun to watch on Christmas Eve morning (since Santa made a special trip to Nana and Papa's house) and Christmas Day (morning and afternoon .... Dzia Dzia and Bushi also had Santa make an additional stop)!
I will be sharing some photos soon. Everything has just been so hectic around here, it's hard to find the time to get on here .... pull the pictures off the camera and post.
The boys are definitely growing like crazy. Gavin is talking a lot more ... and he's even making short sentences. He has really taken to using the potty .... for number one exclusively though. When you ask him to try the other, he responds with a quick "No! All done ... " So, of course, we get off the potty and end up changing a diaper soon afterward. But, he is already making much bigger strides than Grant, but I'm sure that is because he soooo wants to be like his big brother!
Speaking of Grant ... he is getting a little better with his attitude. At least I have been able to sit him down and calm him easier than in the past. He still has some of his normal outbursts, but it's usually when he's tired. I'm sure I'll shoot myself for mentioning this ... but he has had a great couple of weeks at school -- even with Christmas approaching. He has had several very good days at school and has remained on Green for the majority of those days (which, of course, thrills me!). He is getting so tall! He is in a size 5 -- of course, the waist of this particular size is a tad large (thank God for those adjustable waist bands), but the length is just perfect! He's been complaining that his knees hurt lately, so I'm sure that means he will wake up in a couple of weeks and all the clothes he got for Christmas will be too short again! Whenever his joints start to hurt, he sprouts up in height!
Well, I should close now, but I did want to give a little update to anyone that reads this. I haven't forgotten about this blog .... I've just been so stinkin' busy! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and I will try very hard to get photos of the boys up here as soon as possible!
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year! We hope to see everyone soon!
